There’s something unmistakably rad about turning SEGA characters into gritty, comic book versions of their former selves. Fangamer’s SEGAZINE does just that, giving 44 artists the opportunity to expunge cutesy tropes from the “SEGAverse” in lieu of their own design. The zine features art submissions hot off the SEGAZINE tumblr, where entrants initially put in their work for review. This 64-page 4.75″ square booklet is straight-up cool, and shows off a binding reminiscent of the ill-fated 32x. The zine goes for $10.00 USD, and all proceeds go towards Child’s Play. Hop on over to Fangamer, and get in on that underground SEGA jam.
